Privacy Policy

When you use Paige, we collect:

• Account data: your email address and display name
• Conversation history: messages you send and AI responses you receive
• Memory data: structured summaries the AI builds about you over time (Reader and Scholar tiers)
• Feedback: ratings and comments you submit via the feedback feature
• Usage data: timestamps, feature usage, and error logs for service improvement

We do not collect payment card details directly — payments are handled by our payment processor.

We use your data to:

• Provide and personalise the Paige service
• Maintain conversation history and companion memory across sessions
• Send one-time passcodes for authentication
• Improve AI response quality and product features
• Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your conversations to train AI models without your explicit consent.

Your messages are sent to third-party AI model providers (via OpenRouter) to generate responses. These providers process your message content solely to return a response and are contractually prohibited from using your data for model training.

Semantic embeddings of your messages are used for retrieval from our vector store (Qdrant) to ground persona responses in source texts. These embeddings are not stored in a way that can reconstruct your original message.

Your account data and conversation history are stored on secure servers hosted on Railway (cloud infrastructure). We retain your data for as long as your account is active.

If you delete your account, your conversation history and memory data will be deleted within 30 days. Email addresses may be retained for a further period to prevent abuse.

Paige stores your authentication token in your browser’s local storage to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export your conversation history (available on request)

Paige is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have done so, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Your continued use of Paige after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
