Terms of Service

Paige is an AI-powered application that enables users to have conversations with original AI companions, literary characters, historical figures, and other curated identities (“Companions”). The service is operated by Eureka (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By creating an account or using Paige, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

All responses on Paige are generated by artificial intelligence. They are not statements made by real people, living or deceased, and do not represent the actual views, beliefs, or opinions of any historical figure, author, or character.

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, or misleading. You should not rely on Paige for factual information, professional advice of any kind (including legal, medical, financial, or psychological advice), or decisions with real-world consequences.

We expressly disclaim any responsibility for actions taken or decisions made based on content generated by Paige.

Companions on Paige are AI constructions. Some are original identities created by Paige; others are inspired by public-domain works and historical records. They are not real people and are not endorsed by, affiliated with, or authorised by any estate, publisher, or rights holder unless explicitly stated.

Any resemblance between AI-generated responses and the actual views of real or historical persons is coincidental and should not be treated as authentic.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Paige. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. Certain features may require you to be 18 or older.

You agree not to use Paige to:

• Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, or harassing
• Attempt to impersonate real individuals in a deceptive manner
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or systematically extract data from the service
• Circumvent subscription tiers or access controls
• Use the service for any commercial purpose without our written consent

Paige offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods.

Subscription prices may change with 30 days’ notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Your use of Paige is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, store, and use your data, including conversation history and memory data. By using Paige, you consent to these practices.

All software, design, and original content on Paige is owned by us or our licensors. Source texts used for Retrieval-Augmented Generation are sourced from the public domain (e.g. Project Gutenberg) unless otherwise stated.

You retain ownership of any original content you submit. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use it to provide and improve the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Paige and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated content.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of Paige is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £50, whichever is greater.

Paige is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use of Paige after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
